It is rare that I do a house tour. It is probably because I admire everyone else’s house and feel who wants to see my house. But I decided to bite the bullet and show you the touches of fall in my house.
I do have a small house but it works for me. It is an open concept. The entryway opens directly into the Great Room. It is just large enough for this table which I painted before I started blogging. It works well for a welcoming vignette. And yes this is the watering can I painted. The tray may look familiar as I have photographed it many times. Are you curious about the sign on the wall? I will post about it soon.
This is a TV cabinet that I built years ago. It is long overdue for a new look. I do have a lot of projects b0uncing around in my head so stay tuned :). The pumpkin is one of my favorite projects that I did. I love getting it out every fall. It is like saying hi to an old friend.
The mantel is dressed for fall. You may have noticed a theme here. That is beside fall. Most of the accessories are handmade. Don’t you think it gives the house its personality? Like it is uniquely yours. If you are interested in the banner and the pumpkins I can show you how I did it.
This is the view taken by the fireplace looking towards the kitchen. If you look to your right you can see Lionel’s legs and tail. He enjoys lounging in the sunroom.
Next up is the dining room. The room is not used often but I enjoy looking at it. I recently posted about the chargers I made for fall.
The guest bath has a vase filled with a fall arrangement this year. I think it is pretty to decorate the bathroom for the seasons. Don’t you?
This is the view of the kitchen from the sunroom. You are looking at a future project. I plan on painting the cabinets, probably after the holidays. Do you see a glimpse of the fall tablescape? And the cat bowls.
On the other side of the sunroom is the master bedroom. Changing out the cream throw for the plaid one says fall. Do you see the 3 D fall sign on the table?
This is the view from the great room into the sunroom. The cat’s toys are in here. As for fall, well just some apples in the basket. I will save the guest room and den for another day. I hope you enjoyed the touches of fall in my house. Thanks for stopping in.
