Several weeks ago I took a break from painting and creating. Take a stroll down Vintiquity Lane with me. Two of my friends came along for the actual inspirational field trip. Vintiquity Market is closer to me than the Fancy Flea Market (see here and here) and just as much fun.
Vintiquity Lane is a vintage market held the third Saturday and Sunday every month. It is truly fun and inspirational. I always enjoy going on these field trips to meet likeminded people and be fueled by their creativity.
Of course browsing through the venue, we saw beachy looking items, painted furniture, rustic things and items from our childhood depending on your age. There are vendors who sell clothing, others carry vintage artwork. You will see so many interesting things.
You could buy little trinkets or jewelry or big pieces of furniture and of course vintage china. Or handmade goodies. You certainly can’t beat that now, can you? I even bought the cutest wooden box.
It is a crayon box from the 1930’s without the crayons. That is ok. You will be seeing it around the blog here and there for sure.
My friend bought a vintage mirror, which I forgot to take a picture of but you get the idea of the treasures to be found at Vintiquity Lane. Seeing all of the things from bygone years kind of makes me nostalgic for simpler days. Maybe not simpler but since I was much younger is seems like it was.
All in all, it was an enjoyable day to be with friends and become inspired. I really needed that. Sometimes you have to observe the world around you to get the creative juices flowing. I hope you liked taking a stroll down Vintiquity Lane with me. For those of you who live in Florida or are planning to visit the west coast of Florida, you should try to make it on the 3rd weekend of the month. The address is 1540 North Lime Avenue, Sarasota FL.
