I love a Holiday Ham dinner. Oh the leftovers, love them. I do the ham in the slow cooker and make the hash brown casserole and other side dishes. But what will you do with the leftover Holiday Ham? You can only eat so many ham sandwiches. This is another tried and true recipe I discovered years ago.
The recipe blends sweet and savory flavors. The ingredients are readily available. And as you know it is an easy recipe. They are the only kind I make.
Another thing I like about this recipe is that it freezes well. Having a small household I look for things like that. Now if I am making it for myself, I make some packaged fried rice and I am happy.
If you plan on serving this to family and friends I suggest you make egg drop soup and Chinese style fried rice. I haven’t made either recipe in years but they are easy to make. Or if you prefer, pick it up from your favorite Chinese restaurant. And while you are at it get some egg rolls and fortune cookies.
This is really a good recipe to make and now you won’t need to wonder what you will do with the leftover Holiday ham. And even if you don’t have any leftover ham you can buy a ham steak and cut it into cubes so you can enjoy it all year round. That is what I do.
