Don’t you feel like the holiday season is the most social time of the year? One thing is for certain you don’t want to be stuck in the kitchen while the guest are having fun. You want to enjoy your guests and make an easy party appetizer. Join me and my blogger buddies for the 4th Day of Christmas. We will share party ideas.
They have all been busy as Elves creating, decorating, cooking and crafting tons of new ideas for you to try this holiday season!
This recipe has been around for years in many forms and variations. For my recipe, all you need is a package of hot dogs, a jar of currant jelly and mustard.
With my recipe, I buy quality hot dogs and cut them into bite-sized pieces. Dump it in the slow cooker.Next up is to empty out the currant jelly in the slow cooker and then an equal amount of yellow mustard. I have never tried other kinds of mustard but I bet it would be just as good.Turn on the slow cooker to low and let it heat up. The slow cooker will do the rest.
While that is cooking you can rinse off fresh veggies and arrange them in a pretty serving dish. I admit I buy the precut vegetables. I like the mix of broccoli, cauliflower, and carrots. Serve it with a dip.
Another easy idea is cheese and crackers. Nowadays you can buy already sliced cheeses. And the cracker aisle has so many kinds of crackers to choose from. You may also want to serve Humus. That way you can give your guests a healthy alternative. Add a variety of olives and it is a nice spread without a lot of fuss. Don’t forget a nice wine, beer or soft drink.
With minimal fuss, you have just put together an easy party appetizer. Now go enjoy your guests. And all of the other great holiday party ideas. The links are on the bottom.
