Does apple torte count as an apple a day? I don’t know if this counts as an apple a day but this apple torte is so good that you will want it every day. I actually make it throughout the year but don’t you think of apples in the fall?
The recipe is so easy to make. When I worked full time I would mix it up the night before and bake it in the morning. When we were ready to eat we popped it in the microwave for a little bit because it just has to be warm to fully enjoy it. You know each microwave heats food up differently so you will need to decide how long to nuke it.
The last time I made this recipe I used Granny Smith Apples. Some other good apples to use are Braeburn, Fuji, Gala and several others. The availability may depend on where you live. I know my local store posts the information so I know which apples are good for baking.
Or you can look on the Internet for an apple that you like. What did we do without the Internet to check information?
And did you notice my apple torte pan in the shape of an apple. I have included a link so you can get one also. And what is really cool is the recipe is on the bottom of the pan.
When you serve it add a dollop of whip cream or ice cream and it makes for a good dessert. And maybe a nice change from serving apple pie for dessert?
