As I was reviewing my drawer stash I released I didn’t have as many drawers as I thought. But no worries because I immediately liked the drawer that I decided on. The perfect drawer for a toy chest.
The next thing is to find the perfect bottom for the drawer. And I found it almost immediately. It is a simple style. Actually, I also have the same type of bottom on the stool I made a while back. It is a very classic style, perfect for the drawer I was working on or the stool I created in the past. Other drawer projects I have completed in the past have been a unique table from a drawer. And the table from a drawer.
To start off I figured out how to put the bottoms on the drawer. Once I figured that out it was clear sailing. So now for the next step in this little journey.
I started by painting the underside of the bottom and the legs. Then flipped it over and started on the topside.
After that, I begin painting the inside of the drawer. It took a few coats of paint. But I love how the interior of the bright white contrasts with the lovely blue on the outside.
All in all a successful project if I do say so myself. Now check out what the rest of My Thrifty Chicks Pals created.
