Merry Christmas from my house to yours. The day is here. As we worship and gather around with our family we should take a minute to be so thankful to have this day together and the meaning of Christmas.
It is a day to enjoy good food, family and friends. Reach out to those who may be alone. Include them in your plans. Even if they don’t stop by give them a call to let them know you are thinking of them.
Now I will take you on a short little home tour. Many of the ornaments are handcrafted, given to me or ones that I have bought here and there. Some just appealed to me, others have meaning. A few are old but none are from my childhood, unfortunately. I just add to it year by year.
There is no theme. I like the traditional look and the hand made look. So you know it is not going to look like a decorator came over. That is OK because the decorations are filled with meaning and good memories. And I seem to have a Christmas tree thing going. I have trees all over the place. In the guest room, the master bedroom, the sun room. You name the room there is most likely a tree.
And I do believe a Nativity scene is a must have.
I love creating center pieces on the dinning and kitchen tables. I made the tray on the kitchen table and this is usually where we have our meals.
But the dining room table is ready to go and although it isn’t used often I do enjoy it. The candle that is in the tray is a project from last year.
The final room on the tour is the master bedroom. The pillow on the bed is one from last year. I hope you enjoyed this little tour. Merry Christmas from my house to yours.
