On the 7th day of Christmas, the subject is a Hot Cocoa Bar. I have a small area between the refrigerator and sink where the coffee maker is. I decided it was the perfect spot to make a hot cocoa bar in a small space.
To make it extra special I make a hot cocoa mix from scratch. I will share the recipe below.

They have all been busy as Elves creating, decorating, cooking and crafting tons of new ideas for you to try this holiday season!
To set it up I gathered the Christmas themed containers and plates. The homemade cocoa went in one container. The candy canes in the other one.
A glass bowl holds the marshmallows when serving the hot chocolate. I may need to look for another container with a secure lid so the marshmallows can stay out. And of course, when making the hot cocoa I have to have a spritz of whipped cream.
I added a little metal Christmas tree just to give it more holiday fun. When the Cookies for Santa plate isn’t in use it is propped up against the backsplash.
The kitchen is probably the most popular room in the house so the hot cocoa bar gives it a nice festive touch. I have even started adding a bit of the mixture to my morning coffee to start my day in a holiday mood.
And for those times when you may be in a hurry or run out of milk keep hot cocoa packs on hand. Mine are in a pretty Christmas tin. I love all the different flavors they come in. Don’t you?
So even if you don’t have a large area you can make a hot cocoa bar in a small space. Gather up things you already have and create a place to treat your family and guests.

Make A Hot Cocoa Bar In A Small Space
- 1 Cup Ghirardelli Unsweetened Cocoa
- 1 Cup sugar
Mix 1 cup of cocoa and sugar together. Keep in a covered jar.
Pour 1 cup of milk in a small pan. Add 3 tablespoons of the cocoa mixture. Heat while stirring.
Pour in cup and add whipped cream or marshmallows
