For this month’s Crafty DeStash project I decided to show you the easiest craft project ever. It is so easy that I feel guilty. Now if you have been following our group you know we are
hoarders Umm crafters bursting at the seams with craft supplies. We create with what we have but are allowed to spend up to $10 for supplies to complete the project. Last month I made a flower bouquet using knitting needles and fabric.
I’m not sure how I got this small flag. It has been stored in the closet forever because where can you display it? So are you ready to learn how to make a small flag holder?
Originally I was thinking of using a small wooden candlestick but as I was rummaging through the box where I keep my drawer pulls I found wooden salt and pepper shakers. I decided that is even better.
Find a drill bit that is slightly larger than the flag pole. Drill a hole into the top of the salt or pepper shaker. Fill the smaller holes where the salt or pepper comes out with wood filler.
Decide how to paint the salt or pepper shaker. I considered painting it in stripes in red, white and blue but in the end used the metallic blue spray paint that I had.
After the paint is dry, insert the flag pole into the hole and enjoy your small flag holder. Isn’t this the easiest project ever?
