Do you love a beautifully set table? Especially for a holiday, right? As I was preparing the winter to spring table I realized how much I enjoyed a pretty table. And thank you for joining me and my friends for the Bunny Hop. This week it is all about home and table. I am going to show you how to set a handcrafted Easter table.
I have always enjoyed having handcrafted things in my home. Whether it is something I have made or done by someone else. When we have handmade items it shows our individuality and makes our home uniquely ours.
As I was moving things around and changing out plates I saw how much the handcrafted look influenced the table.
It always starts with the tray. I use the tray as the base for the centerpiece. This year I took a white ceramic basket and filled it with colorful shredded paper. It is on top of white ironstone plates. That gives it height. Then I filled the basket with the Salt washed eggs I did last year. The eggs that don’t fit in the basket are scattered in the tray. I can just hear you saying don’t put all your eggs in one basket 🙂
The bunny plates are also on the tray. Surrounding the plates is more shredded paper. The bunny from the landscape edging is watching over the table.
Do you like polka dots? To me the polka dot placemats say spring. The table is set with vintage china. Back in the day, my great-aunt got it at Montgomery Ward. The china is white with a simple design in pink and gray around the edge. And as Easter gets closer I may change the china to another more flowery set.
The vintage silver completes the place setting. And underneath the plates are the chargers I made from the pizza pans. Then I changed them out for the farmhouse style chargers I made. Which do you like better?
The napkins are on top of the place settings crowned by the bunny napkin rings. So you see how to set a handcrafted Easter table is so easy.
Now please be sure to visit my blogger friends for their holiday table settings and home tours. And you will get more ideas. I am heading over there now. Won’t you join me?
