It is one of my favorite times of the month, the Pinterest Challenge. The challenge is hosted by My Pinterventures and encourages us to recreate a Pin that we have pinned. The minute I saw Across the Blvd’s Beverly’s Pinterest Challenge project I got inspired. She created a Fall Tic Tac Toe board. How to make a Christmas Tic Tac Toe Game is the perfect Christmas project.
I had the perfect tray in my stash. It is very small and to tell you the truth I didn’t know what to do with it until I saw how Beverly did her project. I started off by using the green paint to spray paint the inside of the tray.
Make sure the paint is thoroughly dry and then tape off the tray with the green paint. Spray paint the outside of the tray with white paint.
The next step is to glue the ribbon on the inside of the tray in the Tic Tac Toe pattern. The ribbon I found is a stripe with the colors I used on the tray. I used E6000 glue. If I ever make another one I would use tacky glue. That is what I did when I wrapped the ribbon around the outside of the tray to make it festive.
For the playing pieces, I found small, flat Christmas ornaments in two patterns. I got peppermint and gingerbread ornaments at Hobby Lobby. I can’t find them on the website so they may have sold out.
How to make a Christmas Tic Tac Toe game is a cute little project to have for people to play with when visiting over the holidays. Or it is an adorable gift. And it was very easy to put together. Do you think you will give it a try?
Last month I made pumpkins from an old sweater. So we certainly work on a variety of Pins. Check out all of the projects my blogger friends made this month. You never know what you will find to get your creative juices going.
