Do you love a pretty holiday table? For the 5th day of Christmas, I show you how to have a pretty holiday table from the Dollar Store. Now granted the dinnerware, linens and a few odds and ends didn’t come from there. I think what helps to make a table special are the details.
Welcome to the third annual 12 Days of Christmas Blog Hop!
Meet Your Hosts
They have all been busy as Elves creating, decorating, cooking and crafting tons of new ideas for you to try this holiday season!
One of the details on this table are the chargers. Last year I bought them at the Dollar Store. They were a dull gold and I felt that they needed to be lightened up. But I never got around to it until now. The spray chalk paint in white did the trick. I only sprayed the top, no need to do the back. For added protection, I used the matte protective top coat.
The chargers needed holiday finery. The Dollar Store came to the rescue. I bought the garland and some Christmassy picks with accents of green to coordinate with the dinnerware.
Flip the charger over and using the glue gun start attaching the garland around the rim.
Then flip it right side up. Take the picks apart. I used 2 leaves, one in solid green. The other one is white and green. Hot glue the little pine cone on the leaves and to the side attach the berries.
That is all there is to it. Of course, repeat to make enough for each place setting. And there you have it, how to have a pretty holiday table. It is so easy by making special chargers to add a little pizazz. Do you think you will give it a try? Be sure to check out the rest of my talented friends for their Dollar Store creations.
