Have you ever noticed how a simple update can make a difference? It never fails to amaze me when I paint something how it can change whatever it is I painted. For instance, take this watering can.
Now I haven’t been thrift store shopping in a while. I have mentioned my friend, Karen a lot because she gave me so many great things so I don’t need to. But back in the Spring, I was looking for easels so when I go to craft fairs I could display signs and such. That is when I found the watering can. And it sat as most of my things do.
Serval days ago I went to Michael’s and got so inspired by the fall displays. What did I see? A galvanized watering can. That was a no-brainer because I had the watering can and the spray paint.
Using a can of spray paint make it so easy to do a simple update. And paint can make a world of difference. The can was wiped down. I stuffed the can with plastic bags to protect the inside. And started spraying the can. It instantly improved the look.
There were a few drips I needed to repair. I sanded the spots and resprayed them. That is all it took for this project. But wasn’t I right that how a simple update can make a difference? And now for the fun part… Styling it! And you may have noticed I moved the tray that is usually on the dining room table to the entryway table. It is all about shopping the house. Do you do that?
