It’s another edition of the Monthly Pinterest Challenge hosted by My Pinterventures. This month I decided to create an easy tiered tray with cake pans. They are nothing new and I bet most of you have made a version of it. I did a while back with wooden bowls. But this one is way easier. My inspiration is a pin from April Dawn. Her blog is Takin’ Time to Smell the Flowers.

Of course, nothing I had on hand is exactly like hers. I had 2 aqua cake pans and one silver color. And only 2 different size candlesticks. No problem, I used what I had.
There was some leftover galvanized spray paint. It is from the Pinterest Challenge windmill project I did a few months ago. The 2 aqua cake pans were sprayed and instant change. Now they are looking more like April’s version.
Of course, I wasn’t paying attention and sprayed the candlesticks with the galvanized paint. I redid them in black. Just like the pin I was recreating.
To put them together using E6000 glue. The smaller of the two candlesticks became the base. The proportion looks better because the bottom is wider. The other candlestick is taller and looks good between the two cake pans.
I decided against using the other cake pan. Though I do have a small candleholder that could have been used. Another thing I eliminated is the final on the top cake pan.
To create an easy tiered tray with cake pans has been on my project list for a long time. I am so glad the Pinterest Challenged motivated me to make it. It will be fun styling it. I hope you will check out the rest of the pins my blogger friends created. You are sure to be inspired.
