Easter has passed and we are now officially in the spring season. Although you wouldn’t know it in some parts of the country. And as much as I enjoyed my Easter Handcrafted table it was time to put the bunnies away along with the carrot garland. This was an easy change from an Easter table to spring.
I started by clearing everything off the table. Then I put back the “bones” of the table…the tray.
I decided to keep the napkins, dishes and farmhouse charger on the table. The polka dot placemats got changed out for the floral ones. To me, spring is all about flowers and birds. I stacked the Pottery Barn pink dessert dishes with the place settings.
And speaking of birds, did you notice the bird napkin rings? I bought them a long time ago thrift store shopping. To continue the bird theme I placed a birdcage on top of stacked ironstone that is in the tray. Sphagnum moss is inside surrounding a plant.
A little greenery says spring also. The creamer and sugar bowl are also on stacked dishes in the tray.
And I had to give the kitchen table a spring look also. I pulled out woven placemats that I have had forever.
They have a base of white woven with pastel colors.
While I was at it I got out a birdhouse and basket of flowers for the mantel. It is a very simple arrangement.
At the front door, I changed the Christmas tree branches for begonias. Inside the door is a ceramic rain boot vase filled with flowers.
It is a simple change and an easy change for an Easter table to spring. Along with other touches. I like the simplicity and lightness of it. How do you go from Easter to spring at your house?
